Searching for Angela Shelton opened my eyes to a epidemic of abuse when I interviewed other women with my name and discovered that 70% of them had been survivors of rape, childhood sexual abuse and/or domestic violence. Then I met an Angela Shelton who tracked sexual predators and lived in the same town as my father who abused me and my step siblings for years. And we arrived to her town on Father's Day!! She lived only a few miles from my father so I confronted my dad on Father's Day morning on his porch before he went to church. It is oddly funny and it is in the movie. I reveal a lot of myself and my life in this movie and I was not expecting to.

The whole experience of making this movie just got too weird to be weird anymore. The Angela Sheltons kept repeating that everything happens for a reason and now I think there must be a reason you landed on this store. Thank you for finding me and for buying my movie and my book and spreading the word! It has a happy ending because I'm still alive! Most of the Angelas were abused but then most of them also healed and now lead joyful lives - including me!

If 70% of the Angela Shelton's had been victims of abuse, what does that say about women in general? I could have picked any name. This movie does not mean don't name your child Angela or that every Angela Shelton was a victim, it means that this kind of abuse is an epidemic. We all know someone who has been a victim of abuse or trauma.

I love the limited version of this movie! It is my full cut and has the funny bits during the credits, including the comedy at the very end. (I put that in there to give a laugh to survivors who are in pain.) This movie inspires and empowers people to make dramatic shifts in their lives. Due to the demand, I created a new version of the movie. It answers more questions and explains more. It also has Closed Captioning for the Hearing Impaired, Spanish Subtitles, and a photo album. The photo album is really cool. You can put the DVD in and the pictures move to one of the amazing songs that is in the movie. I love it! It has a director's commentary too.

The New DVD is a PRE-ORDER only right now. The new DVD is at my post-production house waiting to be paid for. Now I have written the full story of my own journey in I tell how I faced my past of abuse as well as my abuser, how I covered my pain with self-abuse and addictions, and how I healed. I have seen firsthand how people have transformed and changed their lives forever. The documentary is now used in sex offender treatment programs, crisis center volunteer training programs and in classrooms around the globe. Therapists recommend it to clients and the movie is used to train new volunteers at many crisis centers too!
